3 Tips for Stunning Wedding Table Decorations and Wedding Favours
What is a wedding favour? Wedding favours are gifts or tokens of gratitude that you give to your invited guests during that special day of your life. That special day refers to your wedding day of course; when you stand beside the altar as you wait for the priest to commence the ceremony that would bind you to that special someone for life. It is obviously an unforgettable event and so should it be with all the guests that you invite to be witness to the beginning of your lives together.
For all of these witnesses on the day of the ceremony and the reception, it is customary for them to literally take home a piece of the event with them. In that manner, recalling the event becomes nostalgic. Aside from which, a special memento ensures that your big day will be talked about by your guests. By spreading word of the delightful and beautifully crafted wedding favours, you would certainly be the talk of town. But how does one create impressionable favours? One excellent way is to utilize wedding table decorations as guest favours.
What are the decorations that can be commonly found on the wedding table? Candles, flowers, whether dried or plastic, glasses, centerpieces, special menus, pictures in frames and even chopsticks abound on the wedding tables. You must always aim for something long lasting, creative, and personalized. By long lasting, the token itself must be able to survive the years on the shelf or cabinet collecting dust until it is occasionally cleaned. Food as a give-away therefore is not a very viable option. Although food as wedding favours may sound good at first, it is something completely generic and something that can be forgotten in a matter of a week. Ask yourself whether you remember the taste of what you had for dinner the other week and you’ll know that edible mementos are not the best idea. A memento should withstand the test of time so that it can serve as a memory aid whenever it is looked at.
Wedding table decorations can be quite creative if you have a creative mind. Candles can be molded. If you prefer the more economical route, you can have both of your initials etched beautifully into the wax or a delightful monogram inscribed instead. In this way, you manage to personalize your mementos. By the simple act of carving, you have essentially made your gift unique. If you stick with these key phrases as you go about making your wedding favours, you can guarantee that not only will the wedding decor be beautiful but it will also be memorable as well.
